Getting to the terminal.

The MCTC terminal occupies quays 5, 6 and 7 of the Port of Matadi, in Kongo Central province, around 350 km from Kinshasa by road [TO BE CONFIRMED].

Truck access via the terminal gate: report with the unit’s documents (see Procedures & documents). The port is an ISPS-controlled security area: access is restricted to authorised persons and vehicles.

How to get here

By road
From Kinshasa, follow the RN1 towards Matadi (around 350 km [TO BE CONFIRMED]). On entering the city, follow the signs to the port.
By rail
The CFMK Matadi–Kinshasa line reopened in September 2025; the terminal’s direct rail connection (2 tracks) is being built as part of the modernisation.
By sea
Regular MSC feeder services via Pointe-Noire and Lomé [TO BE CONFIRMED for other lines].
