Who we are

A Congolese port operator, backed by a global network.

MCTC — Matadi Corridor Terminaux à Conteneurs — has been modernising, managing and operating the container terminal of the Port of Matadi since November 2024.

MCTC (Matadi Corridor Terminaux à Conteneurs) was created as part of the public-private partnership to modernise and operate the container terminal of the Port of Matadi, the leading port of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The company’s purpose is to transform the terminal into a modern logistics hub, able to meet the demands of regional and international trade, combining private expertise with public oversight.

MCTC is a limited company under Congolese law (RCCM: CD/KNG/RCCM/22-B-02341), born of a partnership between the MSC/TIL group, SIG, ONATRA and the Congolese State [TO BE CONFIRMED for the percentages]. The company holds a 20-year concession, renewable for a further 10 years, covering quays 5, 6 and 7 of the Port of Matadi, in Kongo Central province. Since operations began in November 2024, MCTC has combined the expertise of one of the world’s leading port networks with deep Congolese roots, its teams drawing largely on experienced staff from ONATRA.
