MCTC — Matadi Corridor Terminaux à Conteneurs (“the Company”) attaches particular importance to the protection of personal data. This Privacy Policy informs users of the https://mctc-cd.com website of how their personal data is collected, processed and retained, in accordance with Law No. 22-041 of 7 February 2023 on the protection of personal data in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and in a spirit of compliance with the principles of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

  • Data submitted voluntarily — Applications (Careers page): surname, first name, email address, telephone, CV, cover letter, professional background.
  • Data submitted voluntarily — Newsletter subscription: email address.
  • Data collected automatically — Connection data: IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, date and time of visit.
  • Data collected automatically — Technical cookies necessary for the operation of the Website.

3. Purposes of processing

Personal data is collected and processed for the following purposes:

  • Contact form — handling information requests and user relations.
  • Application management — recruitment processing and CV database.
  • Newsletter subscription — sending institutional information and Company news.
  • Technical data — Website improvement, statistical analysis, security.
  • Cookies — ensuring the proper operation of the Website.

4. Legal basis for processing

Each processing operation is based on a legal basis compliant with regulations:

  • User consent (newsletter, non-technical cookies where applicable).
  • Performance of pre-contractual measures (applications).

The data collected is intended for the Company’s authorised internal departments. It is not sold or transferred to third parties, subject to any legal or judicial obligations.

The Company may use technical providers (hosting, maintenance) located within or outside the Democratic Republic of the Congo. These providers are bound by strict contractual data-protection obligations.
