Quays 5, 6 and 7 — around 200,000 TEU of annual capacity today, 400,000 TEU by 2027.
Located on the left bank of the Congo River, around 150 km from the Atlantic Ocean [TO BE CONFIRMED], the Port of Matadi is the leading seaport of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. MCTC operates its container terminal on quays 5, 6 and 7: a total frontage of 524 m [TO BE CONFIRMED], of which around 250 m is currently in operation [TO BE CONFIRMED], backed by a yard of around 7 hectares [TO BE CONFIRMED]. The terminal runs on a brand-new equipment fleet delivered in December 2024 and computerised container management.
